Dr. Sarah Locklear was the guest speaker at the meeting of the Kiwanis Club of the Sandhills. Dr. Locklear recently joined Sandhills Pediatrics after finishing medical school and her residency at UNC-Chapel Hill. She spoke about her experiences in graduate medical education and also gave an update on the Swine Flu.

Welcome! - The Kiwanis Club of the Sandhills was founded in 1922 and now has over 160 active members.

Meetings - Prospective members and visiting Kiwanians are invited to join us for lunch at our weekly meetings on Wednesday at noon at  National Golf Club.

This tiny island with about 70 inhabitants, is 3 hours NW
of Glasgow in the Inner Hebrides islands. Its known history
dates back to 563 AD when St Columba and his followers
arrived from Ireland. The surviving abbey dates from the
12th century and includes the burial chapel where services
were held for Scottish kings and lords of the isles.
